 The Best Doctors designation is based on peer reviews and referrals. The process involves an independent survey that's compiled and distributed by the organization "Best Doctors, Inc." The survey goes only to physicians who are currently on the list and are asked, "If you or a loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, to whom would you refer them?"
