Omaha Women's Health & Wellness Conference

The 13th Annual Omaha Women's Health & Wellness Conference is right around the corner!  This year's theme is Surviving and Thriving: Finding Strength in Difficult TImes.  This all-day event held at the Mid-America Center features exhibits, screenings, educational presentations, and NEW TO THIS YEAR - a great selection of local vendors.  This year's keynote speakers are: Fred Wilson, Von Maur survivor; Dr. Deborah Darrington, UNMC Survivorship Clinic founder;  Marie Micheletto, inspiration speaker;  and Dr. Joann Schaefer, Nebraska's Chief Medical Officer and transplant recipient.  Breakout sessions in the afternoon will cover such topics as grief in children, autoimmune diseases, workplace survival, wellness after divorce, PTSD, and living with pain.

Conference fee is $49 and includes all meals, lecturers, and exhibits.  For nursing credit, an additional $30 is charged.  The activity will provide 5.0 contact hours under ANCC critieria or provide for 6.0 contact hours under Iowa Provider #78.  To register for the conference, either mail in your registration form from the conference brochure or click here to register online.
