The Olson Comprehensive Breast Center is a multi-disciplinary center in which the patient has the opportunity to be seen by appropriate medical specialists and support personnel so that an initial treatment plan can be presented to the patient in one visit. The goal of the clinic is to provide physicians and patients in Nebraska and surrounding areas a resource for consultation for both benign and malignant breast disease. We strive to maintain a comprehensive breast disease registry for the purposes of quality assurance and research protocols, to coordinate efforts and enroll as many patients as possible in appropriate clinical trials.
Our services and breast care include suspicious lumps, breast pain, fibrocystic disease, breast cancer diagnosis or second opinion services, and cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. The Olson Center also offers stereotactic testing to patients conveniently located in our Center. No more trips back-and-forth to radiology or another location.
We also provide comprehensive patient and family education and risk analysis regarding all aspects of benign and malignant breast disease. Our primary objective is and has been to afford the patient the opportunity to be seen by the appropriate personnel in one setting without time consuming and anxiety producing delays as a result of referral from one office to another.
For breast cancer survivors, women newly diagnosed with breast cancer, women who have a family history of breast cancer, or any woman who is just concerned about breast cancer, the Olson Center offers special breast and gynecologic care through Jennifer Griffin, MD, MPH.
